Overview

The goal of #SaveOurStages is to establish a grant program for small live venue operators and talent representatives. This will be possible through the Save Our Stages Act (S. 4258). This act is lead by Senators John Cornyn and Amy Klobuchar. As well as (H.R. 7806) led by Representatives Peter Welch and Roger Williams. With this bill, there would be a crucial lifesupport for independent venues.

Important Outcomes from the Act

• Develop a $10 billion funding program available to live venue owners, marketers, directors, and talent agents.
• A grant of no more than 45 percent of gross sales from 2019 or $12 million, whichever is less, is available to each applicant.
• Usual and necessary company expenditures are all eligible for grant assistance.
